Cleveland Way – we are privileged to share a chunk of the Lyke Wake Walk with the superb National Long Distance Path, the Cleveland Way.
Coast To Coast – This route, devised by Alfred Wainwright, creates a stunning walk across three National Parks – the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors. As such, we are happy to share a section of the Lyke Wake Walk with such an illustrious partner.
This is an annual challenge organised by Quakers Running Club from Darlington. If you fancy having a go at a mid-Summer Lyke Wake in under 12 hours, this is the best opportunity you will get. You’ll find well-stocked checkpoints and fabulous company as you give the challenge a bash.
The chances are – if you’ve been out on the North York Moors and have seen a bunch of trail runners (often in states of delirium similar to Lyke Wake Dirgers…) then it is likely you will have chanced upon runners participating in an event organised by Hardmoors!
North Yorkshire LDWA – The Long Distance Walkers Association is a great organisation that hosts long walking events of varying distances throughout the year. Here’s the link to the North Yorkshire branch.
