Cake Wake Sunday 10th March 2019
A total of nine people were able to attend the informal “Cake Wake” at Lord Stones Café on the day after the formal Wake. A thoroughly morbid time was had by one and all, however, around midday, the rain turned to snow and the wind freshened with the threat of another “Beast from the East” similar to 2018, became a real, if miniaturised, possibility. In order to ensure survival, we decided to close the Wake and descend to the “green plains”! But not before these photographs were taken.
